SEMA 1

SEMA is the world’s biggest modified car show and should be on the list of “thing-to-do-before-I-die” of every car enthusiast. Making the trip even more appealing is that it is held in Sin City, Las Vegas, with industry parties every night! The best modified cars from around the world, hundreds of promo models, celebrities, famous drivers, top tuners and workshops all under one roof! Actually, make that five rooms and two outdoor areas with 2,200-plus exhibitors! The show is monumentally huge!

Four days simply isn’t enough to see it all and there is a chance you will miss the best stuff. The best industry parties are also invite only, and SEMA is only open to the automotive industry. Luckily, the Motive crew have been to SEMA six times before and to LA over 10 times, and with our connections in the industry, we know where to stay, where to party, what to see, who to talk to and how to make the most of a trip to Las Vegas and LA. This is why we put together the MOTIVE SEMA TOUR. Let us take out the planning, guess work, and let-downs and provide you with the perfect Las Vegas and LA experience. So what’s in store?

SPENDING MONEY AND EXPENSES

Food and Drink – We don’t include breakfast in the hotel deal as many days are spent sleeping in and some days we get breakfast together at a diner etc. This means you need to cover the cost of all food and drinks for yourself. Expect to spend a minimum of $75USD a day on food plus tips. This will come to approx $120AUD a day however, better the food, the more it cost.

Las Vegas

Everything in Las Vegas costs money. Tipping is expected from everything from a doorman getting your luggage out of the taxi, the taxi rank attendant opening your door, waitresses, barman even the guy who works in the fancy nightclub bathrooms. Expect to go through up to $50 in tips a day in Vegas and $10 a day in Los Angeles.

Also, we take a lot of taxi and limo rides in Vegas but travelling together most taxi rides are under $10 each, so factor in $20 a day, brining the total for Las Vegas to approx $75 USD a day and LA to $10 a day.

All up, expect to go through at least $2000AUD in expenses. Factor in money for alcohol, activities and shopping on top of this.
